Legends Dinner- Wayne Smith- Wednesday 10th October 2018

On Wednesday 10th October 2018 there will be a very exclusive dinner for a maximum of 40 people at the Sanctum Soho Hotel, 20 Warwick St, London, W1B 5NF with a very special guest: All Blacks player and coach- Wayne Smith.

Rugby aficionados will be fully aware of the huge influence that Wayne has had on the All Blacks style of play and incredible recent successes,  playing a key coaching role in engineering the winning of consecutive Rugby World Cups in 2011 and 2015.  And between the two, in 2012/13, he coached the Chiefs to consecutive Super Rugby titles! We are sure that guests will also be most interested in his views of last year’s Lions tour!

Prior to this he was capped 17 times as the All Black “second five eighth”, during another highly successful period of New Zealand rugby. He coached the Crusaders to Super Rugby titles in 1998/9. He spent 4 seasons coaching Northampton and it is rumoured he turned down the England job in 2012 to go to the Chiefs.(Shame!!) Quite a career!

We are very fortunate that Wayne has generously given up an evening on his brief visit to the UK to be with us . His insights into playing for and coaching the most successful sporting franchise in the world ever will we are sure be much appreciated by all.

There will also be the opportunity for questions from the floor, a raffle, small auction and an excellent 3 course meal designed for the occasion.

We thank our illustrious guest who will not only provide their presence and insights for free but will also bring some excellent items for auction, which means even more funds get to our Truants Children’s Charities – Nordoff Robins, Teenage Cancer Trust and ChildLine – to whom all the profits will go, the ONLY deduction being the cost of the dinner.

Tickets are a minimum of £250 for top table and £200 for other tables which includes all food, half a bottle of wine and a pre-dinner cocktail.  This is fantastic value so you are encouraged to add to the ticket price if you are feeling kind and generous – these are very good causes to help kids and this special event is limited and strictly invite only. First come first served!
